February 2017: First Yoga Teacher Training In India
I began my yoga practice about 7 years ago when I had a sore back and couldn't reach my toes and I've come a long way since. Touching my toes came surprisingly quickly and further benefits came soon after. I watched many online videos and attended many local yoga classes and all of those inspired me to become a Yoga Teacher. I seen how yoga can help people and I wanted to share the benefits and show how yoga can help them better. I tried different types of yoga, pilates and other modalities. I done my research and I went to Kranti Yoga in Goa, India where I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.
I started teaching beginners yoga classes in Newry, my local area, and enjoyed it so much I went back to India the following year keen to learn more. I then completed a 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Myofascia Release allowing me to teach Ashtanga Primary Series, Pranayama, Meditation, Kriyas and Myofascia Release Techniques. I stayed in Goa, in India, for an additional month to teach Yoga Classes. I completed another 100 hour course in Romania, Inspiring the Yoga Teacher, and went on many yoga retreats and classes in different countries.
I have over 3 years in teaching beginners yoga classes and ashtanga in person and now online also. I am grateful for all those that have showed up to any of my classes and want to thank you all for sharing your yoga practice with me. I like to make people feel welcome to my classes and like to create a relaxing atmosphere in a non-judgemental environment.
